Terms of Service

Effective April 28, 2026

By using Vérité Report ("the service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What Vérité Report is

Vérité Report is an AI-powered news briefing tool. It generates structured summaries of current events using live web search and large language models. Each briefing classifies information as confirmed, disputed, or unknown and discloses the sources it relied upon.

Vérité Report is currently in open beta. The service is provided as-is, with active and ongoing development. Functionality, pricing, and features may change.

2. The output is AI-generated

Briefings are produced by an AI system synthesizing information from web sources at the moment of your query. While we have designed the system to prioritize verified information, classify uncertainty explicitly, and disclose its sources, AI systems can and do make mistakes. Vérité Report does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any briefing.

Briefings should be treated as a research synthesis, not as a substitute for primary sources. For consequential decisions, follow the source links provided in every briefing and read the originals.

3. Not professional advice

Briefings produced by Vérité Report are not legal, medical, financial, tax, or any other form of professional advice. They are not a substitute for consultation with a qualified professional. Do not rely on Vérité Report's output for decisions where professional advice is appropriate.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Vérité Report to:

We reserve the right to terminate access for users who violate these terms or who, in our sole judgment, abuse the service.

5. Source attribution

Vérité Report displays information about news sources, including their reported owners, funding models, and source types. This information is generated by the AI system based on publicly available information and may not be complete or fully current. Source ownership and funding information is provided for context only and should not be treated as an authoritative reference. If you observe an error in source attribution, we welcome feedback.

6. Intellectual property

The Vérité Report name, brand, methodology, system prompts, code, and design are the intellectual property of the operator. Briefings generated through the service may be quoted, shared, and referenced freely, provided that attribution is given to Vérité Report and that the briefing is not modified in a way that misrepresents its content.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR OF VÉRITÉ REPORT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

8. Changes to the service

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

10. Contact

These terms are written in plain language because we believe legal documents should be readable. If something here is unclear, ask. We'd rather explain than litigate.
