Privacy Policy

Effective April 28, 2026

Vérité Report ("we", "us", "the service") is operated as a small independent project. This policy describes what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used. We aim for the minimum necessary collection to operate the service responsibly.

1. What we collect

When you use Vérité Report, the following information is collected and stored:

2. What we do NOT collect

3. Third-party services

Vérité Report uses the following third-party services to operate:

4. Cookies

Vérité Report does not use cookies. Browser local storage is used to remember your preferences (theme, text size, anonymous ID) but this data never leaves your device unless explicitly sent as part of a query or telemetry event.

5. Data retention

Anonymous query logs and event data are retained indefinitely for the purpose of operating and improving the service. Rate-limit counters expire after 48 hours. Because we collect no personally identifying information, we have no way to associate stored data with you specifically — meaning we cannot delete data attributable to a particular individual on request, because no such association exists.

6. Children

Vérité Report is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use the service.

7. Your rights under GDPR / CCPA

If you are in the European Union, United Kingdom, or California, you have legal rights regarding your personal information. Because Vérité Report does not collect personally identifying information, the practical scope of these rights is narrow — but if you have questions about what data may exist tied to your IP hash or browser ID, contact us at the address below and we will respond in good faith.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top and post the change on this page. Your continued use of Vérité Report after such changes constitutes acceptance.
